At this moment, the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) is racing to pass code by December 29, before the duly-elected new Commissioner, Tiffany Gering, assumes her seat on the Board. The County’s stated goal is to eliminate two-thirds of vacation rentals (STRs). Visitors spend more than 1 million nights annually in Chelan County’s vacation rentals. They generate $150 million in direct and indirect economic activity, which supports some 1,400 local jobs.
  • $38 million on food & beverage services
  • $16 million on entertainment and recreation
  • $36 million in retail establishments

WE NEED TO ACT NOW!
  1. Register to speak at the public hearing, which is to be held online on December 22 from 6-8pm.
  2. Send a written comment, even if it is just a short email, to the Commissioners: CD.STRComment@co.chelan.wa.us
  3. Follow STRACC on Facebook for further updates
